11th hole Elgin Golf Club Moray

Hole 11 – South Feu

The tee to the eleventh hole, sited behind the tenth green, provides an aspect where the problems of this dog-leg hole can be studied.

The bold player can endeavour to carry the spinney of Scots pines situated on the left of the ‘elbow’, while the careful golfer can place his tee shot between the trees and the large grassy quarry.

The uphill slope of the fairway makes for a partly blind second shot requiring good judgement of distance, coupled with accuracy of direction to a green guarded by bunkers to left and to right.
