Hugging the fence beside the Birnie road, the drive at the dog-leg second hole of 452 yards is over a crest and downhill to a wide fairway beyond.

Heavy rough on the bank at the left means serious trouble for the hooked shot, whilst to the right the wayward shot will find more rough and trees.

A slightly raised green with a dip in front, and a cunningly-placed bunker to the right, puts great stress on accuracy for the second shot.
